Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about dummy flight tickets, flight reservations for visa, and onward tickets.

About the Service

  • What is a dummy flight ticket?

A dummy flight ticket — also called a flight reservation, flight itinerary, or temporary flight ticket — is a PDF document showing your planned flight details without being a fully paid, confirmed booking.

It includes: passenger names, route, dates, times, airline, cabin class, and a PNR-style reference number. Embassies and consulates use it as proof of your travel intent when you apply for a visa.

  • Is it accepted for visa applications?

Yes. Most embassies and consulates worldwide accept flight reservations as proof of travel intent. You are typically not required to have a confirmed, paid ticket before your visa is approved.

Schengen, UK, US, Canada, Australia, and most Asian embassies all accept flight itineraries. Always verify the current requirements of the specific embassy you are applying to.

  • Does FlightReserve use real flight data?

Yes. FlightReserve searches live airline schedules to find real, currently-available flights. You select from flights that genuinely exist — we never invent airline names, flight numbers, or departure times.

This means if someone were to check whether that flight exists, they would find it. The document reflects real-world flight schedules.

  • Is this a confirmed airline booking?

No. FlightReserve generates a flight reservation PDF for planning and application purposes. It is not a confirmed seat booking with the airline. You will need to purchase a real ticket separately before travel.

Use this document for: visa applications, embassy submissions, travel insurance applications, or showing proof of intent to travel.

  • What does the PDF look like?

The PDF is styled as a professional flight itinerary. It includes your passenger details, flight route, departure and arrival times, airline, cabin class, and fare breakdown. It is formatted clearly for use in official applications.

Onward Tickets & Travel Proof

  • What is an onward ticket?

An onward ticket is proof that you have a flight departing from the country you are visiting. Airlines and immigration officers require this to confirm you do not intend to overstay your visa or entry period.

Common examples: a return flight home, or a flight to your next destination if you are traveling one-way.

  • Which countries require an onward ticket?

Many countries require proof of onward travel. Common examples include Thailand, Bali (Indonesia), Costa Rica, Philippines, Colombia, Malaysia, and most countries that issue on-arrival visas. Always check entry requirements before you travel.

  • Can I use FlightReserve for an onward ticket?

Yes. You can generate a one-way flight reservation from your destination country back home (or to your next destination) and use it as your onward ticket. Select the appropriate departure and destination airports, date, and cabin class.

  • Can I use it for a Schengen visa?

Yes. Schengen visa applications typically require a flight itinerary showing entry and exit flights. FlightReserve can generate both an outbound and return flight itinerary, which is exactly what Schengen embassies request.

  • What is a flight reservation for embassy?

A flight reservation for embassy is a flight itinerary that you submit as part of your visa application documents. Embassies require it to understand your planned travel dates and to verify that you have a clear entry and exit plan.

FlightReserve generates this document using real flight data from live airline schedules, making it verifiable and professional.
